Discover the Story Behind Jennel Thomas

More Than a Brand. A Kingdom Assignment

For years, three questions remained on my heart: “Who am I? Why am I here? What is my purpose?”

Although God had blessed me with many gifts and talents—including writing, music, speaking, teaching, psychology, and creative arts—I struggled to understand how they all fit together. Like many people searching for God’s direction, I believed I would eventually have to choose just one path. Instead, God revealed something that transformed my life forever.

My calling was never about choosing one gift over another; It was about becoming fully who God created me to be and using every gift He entrusted to me to serve others. I am Jennel Thomas—a Christian author, singer-songwriter, psychology graduate, speaker, life coach, and creative entrepreneur on a Kingdom assignment to help individuals and families discover purpose, strengthen their faith, build confidence, navigate grief, and live intentionally according to God’s design. My name Jennel means “God is Gracious.” Indeed, my entire life has been and still is a reflection of God’s Grace.

Growing up in Guyana, South America, I was always curious, creative, and passionate about encouraging others. From childhood, I loved singing, writing songs, drawing, creating art, teaching children, and public speaking. As a young adult, I organized a Sunday schoolat my church and gathered the community’s children to learn about God, and later I served in Sabbath School, youth leadership, and worship ministry.

Long before I began studies in Psychology, people naturally trusted me with their stories, struggles, and dreams. Looking back, I now see that God was preparing me for the work He had already predestinated for me.

Although I once dreamed of becoming a teacher and later considered a career in law, God’s plans were different. He led me into psychology, where I discovered not only a deeper understanding of human behavior and mental processes but also a greater appreciation for the wisdom already found in Scripture. The many lessons in Psychology helped me tremendously in understanding myself better and this field of study became one of many tools God used to help me encourage, equip, and serve others with both compassion and practical understanding.

One of the greatest turning points in my life came in 2022 when my mother died. Losing her changed me forever. Through one of life’s deepest valleys, God taught me that grief and hope can exist together, that brokenness can become beauty, and that our greatest pain can become part of our greatest purpose. That journey continues to shape my writing, music, and ministry today.

Over the years, I explored many different paths—including education, tutoring, consulting, research, entrepreneurship, cosmetology, design, music, writing, and business. At one time, those experiences seemed disconnected. Today, I understand they were never separate. They were all preparing me for one assignment. Everything I create now—whether through books, original music, speaking engagements, workshops, Jennelisms™, digital resources, or future courses—flows from one mission: helping people experience the love of God, discover their God-given purpose, overcome life’s challenges, and become everything He created them to be. My desire is simple. If someone spends five minutes with my work, I hope they leave feeling encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that their life has purpose. I hope they encounter the hope of Jesus Christ, discover practical wisdom for life’s journey, and gain the confidence to keep moving toward the future God has prepared for them. I believe every person is fearfully and wonderfully made. Every gift has purpose. Every setback can become preparation. Every life has value. And every person has been invited into something greater than themselves. This is more than my profession. It is my Kingdom assignment. I am simply a daughter of God, walking in the good works He prepared for me long before I arrived here—and inviting others to do the same.
